2017 CSA Enrollment is OPEN NOW
Registration Form is Located HERE
Dear Valued Customer,
We at Hillside Meadow Farm are excited to announce that we will be continuing our Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program this upcoming 2017 season. We are still committed to providing our quality, home grown, farm fresh produce, fruit, and meat to our customers at our current markets in the Northern Maryland, Baltimore, and Washington DC areas, but we are looking to expand and offer a CSA to a limited number of customers. Our farm is located in Southern York County, Pennsylvania. Just north of the Pennsylvania Maryland line. We are just slightly west of Interstate 83.
For those who are not familiar, a CSA (community supported agriculture) is a term used to describe a special partnership between farmers and consumers. The customers become members, or “shareholders,” in the farm for the entire growing season, receiving a weekly share of fresh, seasonal produce, fruit, and/or meat. In addition, the customer is able to experience the rewards of being able to interact with the farm, see where their food is coming from and know that they are supporting the local farmer. The farmer benefits from the CSA because the shares provide seasonal start-up capital.
We will be offering shares for 20 weeks from May 31 through October 11, 2017. It will include a variety of produce and fruit depending on what is in season at a given time. These shares will be at a discounted rate from normal market pricing. The customer will pay for their share/shares on/after December 1, 2016 and will pick up their produce and fruit at our farm on Wednesdays from 10am - noon & 4pm - 6pm. We will also be offering an All Natural Black Angus Beef and Pasture Raised Poultry share for those who are interested in adding meat to their pickup. All our animals are born and raised on our farm. They are given no growth hormones or antibiotics.
One thing that makes us a bit unique as a CSA is that our farm grows, produces, and cares for every item that you will receive. We harvest on a daily basis guaranteeing you the freshness and quality your family deserves. We do not out source for any of the products in our shares. We feel this is a real advantage for you as a consumer as you will know where every item you are provided is coming from.
*All CSA payments must be in cash or check form only*
A full produce/fruit share prices at $445 and a small share prices at $280 for the 20 week season. A meat share prices at $345 for the 20 week season. The produce/fruit share will be picked up on a weekly basis and the meat share will be picked up every other week. We will provide bags each week for you to use. All produce/fruit that is not picked up by Wednesday evening will be donated to a needy family. Please make it a point to have someone scheduled to pick up your share if you are not able to make the pick-up time. In case of an unforeseen emergency, please let us know as soon as possible on Wednesday that you will not be able to pick up. We will allow you to pick up your share on Thursday morning. After that point it will be donated.
